Set in a moderate swing style, this solidly scored original by film composer Lennie Niehaus is a welcome addition to developing jazz ensemble literature. A strong introduction sets up the melody, which contains lots of variety and developmental material. Then a brief interlude announces the open solo section containing written and/or ad lib solos followed by a shout chorus before the D.S. al Coda.
