Chorale and Tarantella

Chorale and Tarantella for bassoon and piano by Grażyna Krzanowska are two short pieces intended for beginners, but already with several years of experience - due to certain rhythmic complexities and equivalence of bassoon and piano parts in the polyphonic parts of the Tarantella.

The juxtaposition of solemn and serious Chorale with the Italian dance - Tarantella - allows the student to practice smooth playing at a slower pace and longer rhythmic values, as well as slightly faster runs in a swaying triple meter.
