Elbow formed in Bury, Lancashire, in 1990. Over the band's 18 year career they have released four studio albums, four EPs and ten top fifty singles in the UK. Their debut album, ‘Asleep in the Back’,released in 2001, was hailed as a seminal album of the new millennium, gaining them a Mercury Music Prize nomination and a BRIT Award nomination.
